Deciding to undertake counselling is scary - not least because you are required to trust another person with some of your hardest, most difficult thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

But those very thoughts, feelings and behaviours affect all areas of your life - your body, your mind, your relationships and your work. It is always worth the effort to unpack those a little, and gain some perspective about just how your life is or has been affected.

Once this is done, you can gain new insight and move forward with a different way of viewing the future and being in your life. Most clients say it is worth braving that first step!

About

Nina Smith

Dip Gen Nurse, B Soc Sci, Business & Administration (Hons), HDip Counselling (MBACP), MATCP (Masters in Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy).

I have had careers in Nursing and Management Consulting, working across many strata and kinds of people in various countries. I chose to train as a counsellor after having had successful counselling that gave me insight into my life and my choices. I now love working with anyone who needs help being able to negotiate tricky transitions and deal with life choices, enabling you to move forward with confidence.

I offer a supportive, sensitive, nurturing environment in which you can examine what you are struggling with, free from judgement to find a happier way into your future.

To do this, I practice Integrative Counselling - drawing on many schools, depending on your needs and what you feel and what suites you. I can use creative methods if that is something you are comfortable with.

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP) and of the Association of Christians in Counselling (ACC). This means that I am regulated by an outside body, have regular supervision, agree to a Code of Conduct, am insured to practice and have regular training and update of my practice.
